My young neighbors thought it would be a "good idea" to make use of all the deadwood that fell over the winter in the shallow woods behind our homes. We live in TOWNHOMES by the way. Well, they went to Walmart and bought a fire pit. Their Walmart Fire Pit is on their WOODEN DECK 3 feet from the Propane Tank of their gas grill. It is also on the side of their deck closest to mine even though they are end end-of-group and could have easily placed it on that side.
It is getting smokey in here and I can hear loud cracking of wood (NOT seasoned wood I may add). I am really worried about my house burning down but I am also ticked because this is the first warm night of the year and I am going to have to close MY doors and not get fresh air.
This guy had a monster stereo which he did adjust after I complained (several times he finally got the hint when a statue fell and broke because of Iron Man @). I don't want to tick him off because I would rather the stereo/sound system not be turned up anymore, but honestly this smoke is annoying.
I am holding off on saying anything, and hoping the novelty of this thing wears off, and it will end up rusting in the corner under their deck soon.
I checked our county code and so far not much on the rules of these things. Maybe I should get one myself? Oh they had country music blaring a minute but I turned up my House Hunters and that seemed to stop. Again, we all have to enjoy our homes, but I am being smoked outta mine.
Right now I want to Section 8 my house and see how fun life is for them then.
