Saw both of these this weekend. Not terribly impress with The Kids are Alright, and don't see what the big deal is about Annette Benning's performance. Also, not sure why it's a "comedy."
The Fighter, on the other hand, is very good. Mark Wahlberg is an amazing man. He has a keen business sense that has taken him a long way from his humble, troubled beginnings. I also enjoy him a lot as a performer. Not hard on the eyes, either!
Melissa Leo is incredible in The Fighter and deserves every award she's winning. I'm a real fan of her work, too, and am glad to see she's finally getting the roles and the recognition she deserves.
