The Eyeroll Emoticon

How do you use it ({#emotions_dlg.rolleyes})? I use it to convey that I find something ridiculous or lame. Basically, I'm not being nice when I use it. LOL

I have often seen people put the eyeroll after a friendly or neutral comment, almost like they are not using it properly. I don't know how to explain it. Anyone else see this?
