I've been up 15 minutes, and I've already heard the tearful interview given by the parents of the four year old and four month old children who were in the theater in Colorado. Is there anyone who can think for any reason that an infant should have been in a movie theater at which an extremely loud, flashing lighted movie was being shown in the middle of the night? The infant was wounded, thankfully very slightly, but why was any infant there. And by the way, was this movie G rated? Why were tickets sold to these "parents"? Why are TV reporters asking them questions that are intended to indicate how brave and protective they were? Here's what I hope- I hope by Monday a social worker is knocking on their door giving them some information about local parenting courses and making a strong suggestion that they take advantage of some of those courses. Ongoing proof that parenting is not by any means an inborn skill.
