I would choose apple, and pumpkin. I like pecan, but it is very rich after a meal.

Apple for TDay dessert. For the next few days -- a choice of pecan, pumpkin and mince.
My mother made a Cross & Blackwell mince meat pie every Thanksgiving and Christmas. A small piece of that pie with a little whipped cream was a treat!

Oh, boy, hard question. Adore pecan pie, love "crunch". But agree it is rich after an admittedly rich Thanksgiving feast.
A fresh apple pie would be good! Either would be good!
I'm the one at our table who is not really a pumpkin enthusiast. But among other things, I'm going to make a basic pumpkin cake, what amounts to a classic "dump cake" with a layer of cake over the sweet pumpkin below. I like the version with toasted pecans or walnuts, but have a nut allergy person.
He's not allergic to pistachios, so am wondering how weird it would be to sub them for pecans...

There was a recipe in our weekly paper for Cranberry/Apple pie. That sounded good for Thanksgiving.

@Magicrat I knew some old ladies who could make such wonderful coconut cream pies! I think that probably is THE best pie ever IF it is made the old fashioned way by someone who isn't afraid of salt, fat and sugar and knows what they are doing!
Ditto for banana cream pies! Maybe a vanishing dessert.

@Oznell Happy Thanksgiving friend, and to all the forum friends. Enjoy the day.
It sounds some what like the Piecaken my daughter in law ordered last and this Thanksgiving because we all like different things!
I thought I would not like this... it is comprised of pecan pie, pumpkin pie, spice cake and apple pie filling.
Much to my chagrin, It was delicious and although being over the top; I didn't find it overly sweet! Small slice does the trick.
