Re: Thank You to Our Veterans

[ Edited ]

@deepwaterdotter My husband is a disabled Viet Nam vet. He spent 6 months at Walter Reed Hospital recuperating from his wounds. He was in the Big Red One 1st Infantry so he saw a lot. I will also share this with him.  I'm sure he will appreciate it.

Thanks to all who served.

DH is a USAF veteran who served during Viet Nam. The words of thanks or even acknowledgement of their service seem to mean more now than ever. It was a very different time back then. All vets deserve our gratitude.

Re: Thank You to Our Veterans

@lovesrecess - Two of my brothers served in Vietnam.  One of them was wounded and spent six months in a hospital.  Thankfully, he recovered to live a good life (retired from the Army after 30 years), but has now passed on.

The way our veterans were treated, when they returned from Vietnam was shameful.  I'm glad they're now getting the respect they deserve.  They served, when their country asked it of them.  Hopefully, we can heal the wounds we inflicted then.
