Re: Thank You, QVC, For Making Me Shop Elsewhere

@Pearlee  Thanks, I was unaware. I seldom shop at Kohls; the one near me is overwhelming and the layout is confusing. I hadn't thought to look online.

@occasionalrain   You are welcome.   There are a lot more online than in the stores.  I have four Kohl's stores near me and they have nowhere near the Skechers selection that I see online.   If you want to go through the choices of women's Skechers on the Kohl's site, leave a fair amount to time to do it!  Smiley Happy  Oh, and if you do Ebates, it's usually 6% at Kohl's.

I forgot to add in my original post, that the Skechers store has a rewards card that I have, where I get points towards future purchases, so that's an added incentive to shop there rather than QVC!  (And when I buy Skechers at Kohl's, I earn Kohl's Kash).

I’m happy for you!

I also feel compelled to add...

which store does not charge s/h costs on returns?

Haven’t heard of any...

Re: Thank You, QVC, For Making Me Shop Elsewhere

Really????  I always wonder why people feel the need to post 1) they are leaving the boards OR 2) no longer shopping QVC?

Do they need validation or approval from others -- geez just go!

Many of us have moved on to other retailers (me included)-- I'm sure Q "powers that be" don't really care because they are not interested in the customer anymore as everyone can see from many posters!  Or just take a look at the programming -- repetitive, overpriced & boring!

Hi @LTT1!  Two stores that come to my mind immediately with free shipping AND free returns:

Nordstrom

Zappos

Re: Thank You, QVC, For Making Me Shop Elsewhere

A few weeks ago I decided I wanted a new handbag.  I found a D&B I liked on QVC.  It was on "clearance" from $198.00 to $157.00 and the usual $11.97 s/h.

I logged on to Macy's and found the same purse on sale plus they were doing another 30% off friends and family sale.  On that day, E-bates was offering either 10 or 15% cash back.  I cannot remember which.  And there is no s/h on orders over $75.00 at Macy's.

My cost on that purse was $88.00 and change.  That does not include the rebate that has posted to my account on e-bates, which takes me under $80.00 on a purse that was $198.00.

Had I ordered that purse from QVC, it would have cost me over $175.00 with tax.  It definitely pays to shop around.

@LTT1, most stores charge for s/h on a return if they charge s/h to send it to you.  Even if the s/h to you is free, there is often a return charge.

And I don't know of any store other than HSN that refunds original s/h.

I also thought of Zappos, but I think their prices are unusually high...if they have sales I have missed them.

As far as Nordstrom’s goes, for about two years I have not been able to find brands/sizes I have been looking for?

Would love to be a a patron of both of these businesses, and I often check their sites. I’m sorry to say that it appears that Nordstrom was financially hurt by their liberal return policy (read this once on their site.)

@Lipstickdiva

I guess my “luck” is perhaps running out with HSN as far as returns go...I just found out today that I was given “flex cash (?)” instead of a $ refund on my last return. So....🙄

ETA: I was wrong...HSN not only refunded my first payment, but also issued SPENDABLE KASH of $5.

I have never been a big “returner” there.

I’m thinking that if a store doesn’t charge enough to make a profit, their stock choices decrease and customer service might suffer?
