You did what you felt you had to do under QVC's guidelines. Thank you for not removing the thread and for allowing the joy to remain. We understand that your job has become very difficult.

Locking the "joy" thread while removing the opposition thread showed biased, uneven moderating...IMO.  Lock both or remove both.  I don't understand why they were treated differently.

Maybe Brittany will explain.

Being a QVC moderator does appear to be a fairly thankless job.  Hope it pays well.

I don't mind in general if a post of mine is deleted, and under the old forums I never minded over-much if a thread I was in was deleted.

What I do mind is seeing a growing trend to a concerted effort to "get" threads removed just because it can be done, when the threads and 90% of the posts do not violate the rules but posts are injected so the threads will be deleted. It is at this point a loophole of sorts that I hope QVC will give serious thought to closing.

(bolded by me)  Yeah, I don't see that ending any time soon. I think there are those who take great glee in trying to destroy a peaceful thread.  Sad, really, for people with that mindset so I just see it for what it is and SMH.

Totally disagree, esmerelda. The posters in the deleted threads *broke the posting rules and guidelines over and over.* THAT is why they were deleted and for no other reason.

There is always strong emotions on both sides, and because they differ from the other side, doesn't make them wrong. People feel what they feel, sometime with valid reasons ohers might not share, but if they are going to let once side vent ,the other side should also get a chance, as long as it's done peacefully

I am hoping that the proactive stance the moderators are taking on the new forum will continue, and that there will be repercussions for willful disobedience, shall we say. The potential is there for them to crack down on this as well.

completely agree with you esme......it does show bias........but on the other hand, Brittany does give a pretty good descriptive reason as to why posts are removed or locked........maybe she will give the reason as to why this bias position was taken................................raven

Several posts were deleted from both threads, I'm sure.  But at the end of the day, one was left standing and one had vanished.

Thank you, but Brittany did it and she is the one who knows why.  Hoping she will give her reason.
