Texts from my own number

I tried to find answers online but cant find any!

For the past couple days my phone has sent me a

text from my own number. The text says Page From.

That is all it says.

I have no idea how this happens or why. Have you

Yes, my mother received a spam call from her own number. Spammers can spoof telephone numbers, including your own.

If you do a search on "spam calls from your own phone number" you will find a ton of responses.

This happened to me and I thought it was discussed on this forum but I wasn't able to find the thread.

I can't remember what the cause was. It's been a few years since it happened and it only happened once.

It happened to me about a year ago. I got two of them and immediately deleted without opening.

I know, this is crazy. Report it as spam. Yesterday I got an email from my own email address! Ugh. I marked it as spam, that's the best answer I could find online

I delete most texts without opening them as I can see enough to know its spam. Swipe to the left and hit the trash can.

The cruelest emails I get are ones from my husband. He passed away last September. While I know those are garbage emails and I do not open them, they always send me into a tailspin.
