I got one from someone that poured their heart out.

I had to text back to tell them it was sent to a wrong number, then they proceded to blow my phone up with calls.

I texted back again to tell them it was the wrong number, please stop calling and texting.  They went off on me, did I know how hard it was to re-live painful memories, blah, blah, etc.  I finally had to block the number.

That's how cheaters get caught. I don't think you can unsend a text message . At least you can delete a Whattsapp message and hope it's not seen before it's deleted.

A higher up where I worked was cheating on his wife with two other women.  He sent one of those women a text meant for the other.  This started the events that led to his resignation and for one of the women to lose her job.

Only a series of them and from a lawyer of all people.  I was in a very bad car crash in 2015.  I was in bad shape.  A lot of my chest bones are fractured and neck bones.  We had to get a lawyer to try and recover medical bills. That went OK.  But suddenly I started to get email of legal matters that had nothing to do with me from that same law office.  I notified them, but they still kept coming. Finally they did stop. That was the only time.  And very bizarre!

I don't text a lot and have VERY few contacts on my cell phone, so it's easy for me to be careful.

However, since I cannot 'thumb type' due to arthritis, or type with one finger (I'm a very fast typist so that's not really compatible with a tiny keyboard), I dictate my texts.

Well, I try to be careful but one day I was texting a good friend (somebody actually here in this thread) and I dictated something like 'I'm so annoyed' about something we were discussing.   It came out "I'm so h o r n y" (I don't know if that word is ok here, so I separated it to post it) and I didn't notice until I punched it through.   I don't even use that word and who  knows how the heck annoyed turned into that!

Needless to say, I was VERY embarrassed but we got a good laugh out of it after the fact.

Yes, I've done it a couple of times.  I try to be careful, one of these days I'm really going to get in trouble😂

No but my friend sometimes confuses me with her cousin and I get the text meant for her cousin.  Her cousin and I have the same first name and similar last names so we are next to each other in her phone's contact list.
