It's only 72 in here and 51 outside!!  (SW MI).  Noticed some shade of red the other day on some of leaves on trees that I began watching for, a few years ago.  Somehow, the old Aug.  heat, has given way to turning to fall. No wonder we're getting in the mood sooner now.

Had to wear a light sweatshirt top jacket out yesterday.

@qualitygal , I've noticed a slight change in the air here in SC, too. While it's still hot, we're just getting into our dog days of summer, it's nice to get out of the high 90s. Yesterday as the sun shone throughout the yard, I noticed a few leaves changing into their autumn colors. Definitely welcome!

We had days of high 70s and low 80s for a week. The upper 90s are on their way back by this weekend.

Weather around the globe is changing - warmer winters for many, derechos, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, high winds, earthquakes, etc etc.

My state has had more natural disasters in the last 5 years than in the prior 40 years.

Weather is not normal anymore. Many ignore the reasons. Their grandkids and future generations will suffer.

It is 55 degress here now. Even the birds seem to be a bit slower getting to the feeders this morning.

@qualitygal   I have only one thing to say about the cooler weather we in NJ are also having:  I'm LOVING it!

I'm in SW Michigan, and yes, we've had cooler days/nights over the past couple of days. But it's not cold. Not by any means. It's the perfect opportunity to open the windows and get some fresh air in the house! By the weekend, it's going to be back up in the 80's, with 90's and humidity (typical summer weather) when the kids go back to school next week.

It's weather, it changes, sometimes multiple times a day.

@qualitygal  Same here in Ohio. We recently moved back here from many years in Florida, so we really feel the cold. We're due for a big warm up this weekend, let's hope. We never used our AC this summer...maybe I should sell it on eBay. 😄

It surely isn't dropping where I am near Albuquerque.   It's going to be 98° today; hottest August on record.  It won't cool off here until well into September or possibly October.

It was 77º when I walked out this morning for work, but no humidity.  That made it feel like early fall here in Texas.  The next 10 days are supposed to be the same. Heart
