I was not trying to make you look bad. I apologize if that's how you took it. Just proud to say he was born in KY. I live in KY and am a retired teacher so I know a lot about him. Just wanted the correct info out there. I knew his family lived in Indiana before Illinois, but I had to look up the exact dates. Sorry if my post sounded like a school lesson.

I'm also a retired teacher and I taught social studies, primarily.  I almost posted the Lincoln correction myself.  I'm sorry that the original poster was offended.  Fact checking is just what we do and I understand that it can sometimes be off-putting.
