I received a dozen long-stemed roses by Proflowers on Saturday, Feb.13th. They have been fabulous!!! They gradually opened and were beautiful from semi-bud to full bloom. I think buyers just see the pictures and probably don't realize the bouquet has to be assembled by the recipient. My DIL didn't. I can see how that could be a problem in some cases because each rose is individually wrapped and their stems and the greenery are enclosed in a hydration pack. Mine came with a lovely vase and additional removeable decorative outer container. Anyway, those roses lasted beautifully for over two weeks.

I have ordered both. Pro Flower's are by far the freshest flowers I have ever had, except for one florist I buy from. They do come unassembled. They are neant to be a bouquet , not an arrangement. But I don't think they explain that good enough. My daughter sends lilies from Pro a couple times a year. I think one bouquet lasted 6 weeks!
There is nothing better than a florist arrangement for funeral or many occasions. You have to be careful with teleflorist, as they pass the work onto a locl florist. But you never know what they will look like. I had one Teleflora delivery that wasn't delivered as the person didn't answer the door. They kept the arrangement in truck for 2 days b4 delivering! Awful. It is like pulling teeth getting a refund.Io deal with reps in Mexico, and never did get a refund I go with 1 800 flowers, myself

If I'm sending flowers to someone out of town, I do research online to find the best florist in their area and pick an arrangement. Then I place the order online via their website or over the phone. I might actually pick a Teleflora or FTD arrangement, but I'm dealing directly with the florist in the area it's being delivered. I've always been happy doing it this way.

Me too. It's so easy to google florists in the town or closest town to where you're going to have the delivery. You can read reviews and call them directly to place the order and establish a personal connection. I've found the florists are more likely to send a nicer arrangement if you have a friendly phone conversation with them.

Diane, I had the same experience with proflowers. They called me at the time of the funeral and said they were not able to send the flowers to the funeral home. They were going to refund my money.
I went crazy. This was a close relative and I couldn't attend the service as my son had just broken his leg.
I caused such a stink that they ended up sending a food basket to his daughter's home.
Since then I have called florists directly . I look them up on line for the town I need and read reviews.
