He passed away just before CNN becomes unrecognizable. He was once married to Jane Fonda.

I actually liked CNN during his era...but everything was different then....or at least seemed so. Always plenty of stuff most of us are never aware of behind the scenes of it all.

Anyway, I liked his visionary spirit, larger than life character.

May he rest well now.

I'm thankful for his founding of TCM, one of my favorite channels. They will have a tribute to him on Sunday, May 10 by showing his favorite classic, "Gone With The Wind" at 8pm EST.

He also started TNT & TBS but sold all his channels, including TCM, to Time Warner in 1996.

We used to frequent Ted's Montana Grill until the one near us closed. The food was good and we always enjoyed it. Just one of his many ventures.

@beach-mom We used to go to Ted'sMontana Grill near us as well. I was sad when they closed down. Good restaurant!
