I didn't know Lisa was doing a chat Sunday night.  I got on FB and a message popped up that Lisa R was live so I clicked on it.  Usually I cannot watch her chats, they freeze.  I thought maybe she was going to be chatting with someone interesting which is why I tuned in.

I have to say that I too found that whole thing beyond odd.  I watched for about 5 minutes with my mouth gaping open at the weirdness.  It was like she was on her own little personal shopping channel.

She was dressed up like she would have been on QVC, she had popped in the hair extensions like she always did on Q but hasn't worn in photos since she left. She had the "tray" of jewelry on a table next to her and was selling, just like she did on QVC.  "Next, we have these earrings for you."  She had multiple cameras on her, some she was directing to do a close-up.  It was quite possibly one of the oddes things I've seen.  I continued on after a short amount of time.

I really did admire Lisa for leaving a lucrative job and moving on if she was unhappy.  I do hope she continues to build her business and succeed.  But I am somewhat shocked that she is riding the coattails of her former employer.  If you want to move on, move on.  This isn't moving on.  It's like she doesn't know any other way than selling in front of a camera.

@Lipstickdiva, I too watched a little of that and thought it was odd.  It was exactly like she was back on the Q using the same words over and over.. absolutely absolutely stunning.  I think I'm missing something pretaining to her being a one woman shopping channel or whatever it is.

No hate at all but for those of us who don't like nor follow Lisa, we're wondering why her fans or so called tribe don't just stick to her facebook page?

Lisa is no longer employed by QVC and we're not interested in her over priced baubles.

If anyone wants to have tea with Lisa, fine, but do that and leave the rest of us alone with her goings on.

I have very strong feelings as to why these threads keep getting started here and someone else has already made the suggestion earlier.

That being said, I find that some posters on this thread have put forth a lot of time and effort on disliking Lisa.  The posts that are multiple paragraphs long, the up close photos to back-up their point, the obviously constant visits to her FB page to find things out, it's all very odd to me.

You don't care about her goings on so I'm going to assume you aren't on her FB page on a regular basis.  That makes sense.

Some take Lisa and her pretense at face value.  They adore her and don't like it when that pretense is taken apart.  It's uncomfortable for them.  Others throw out the blanket "hate, jealousy, and that's so odd" cards.  The fans spend time praising Lisa, the critics spend time paring her down.

Those that are tired of hearing about her just don't make sense.  If you're tired of her, why read the thread -- why even acknowledge it.  If you're sick and tired about hearing it, then ignore it.  Complaining is pointless.  Don't expect others to stop because you say so.  Fix it for youself.

While I get what you are saying, you have been one of the detractors too.

I personally am not sure why a former salesperson that worked here should be allowed to have her links posted here when she is in competition with the Q on a small scale.

The fact that she refers to her followers as her tribe says it all to me. It is sickening to see people fall for it and love to be referred to like that.

I hate to see people taken advantage of...but then there's "one born everyday".

Well, that is up to the Q, isn't it.  The Q already puts the kah-bosh on most of the LR threads.  Maybe soon, the moderators will ax all of them from the get go.

"have in parenthesis, “if you’re interested”-and- I was interested in reading the thread"

But there are those who insist that "interested" MUST, by (their) definition, mean "in love/like with" and no one else need apply.

As I have posted before, it's entirely possible (not to mention completely normal and happens all over the forums every day) that people express their opinions on a subject without "liking/loving/being in favor" of it. "Interest" does not equate to universal worship - it just doesn't, in this thread, or in any other thread about any subject. There is not/should not be one single special untouchable person/subject/item on the forums subject to special rules and considerations.

Hello everyone...

@Moonchilde - Can’t say I differ at all with your thoughts- I’m not a supporter of misinformation, deceit or untruths. I will always question why it is acceptable for one to post misinformation about any subject and another held back from correcting or “falsifying” that same misinformation.

Facebook: I’d be inclined to believe it advantageous for anyone conducting business to allow all feedback- isolating any potential consumer seems to be bad business.

About that title: I might be a bit more analytical in the future when reading a title, before wandering in…mmmmm maybe not….I like lively topics. Smiley Happy

As was mentioned previously, I personally don’t feel threads disintegrate because of the length of a post or because someone chose to post photographs, (in this case me) but because some may simply lack the willingness to accept the opinion of others and will go to any length to halt a dialogue.

That said-my personal opinion in the scheme of things is relatively unimportant, often loquacious and shouldn’t be taken all that seriously. After all, it’s just a forum. If someone isn’t all that charmed by my thoughts, that’s fine. I get it. I can totally accept that…Scroll on by.

In contrast-I’ve found there are boundless kind, articulate, creative, witty women here willing to express themselves-It takes courage to do that on a public forum- I’ve enjoyed reading their posts.

Like others, though I may not agree with all opinions, I also don’t feel the need to scrutinize them either-I’m aware it takes time for them to write a “thoughtful” post-it impresses me and has merit- For that reason, I usually don’t disregard the thoughts of others, but neither do I find it necessary to always respond to them.

@qwarkster (s) sensible point, “Well, that is up to the Q, isn't it.  The Q already puts the kah-bosh on most of the LR threads.  Maybe soon, the moderators will ax all of them from the get go.”

Continually going to the FB page of someone you dislike and have no interest in, just so you can see what she is doing and criticize her, is in fact odd and doesn't make any sense to me.

Obviously those who don't like her are getting a lot out of watching her and following her every move.  Those who claim not to care for her seem to spend far more time following her than those who like her.

It's your prerogative to make these judgments, exaggerations and assumptions as to how often, and to what extend the visits to LR's FB occur.  One can draw a quick conclusion, just by viewing a picture for a few seconds.  Writing is what takes time.  It's not the one or two word ooh-ahhs that happen instantaneously.  LR is not complicated to figure out.  One need not visit her page every hour, every day or even weekly and spend hours analysing.  She is very repetitious -- posing, eating, visiting, cooking, traveling, selling, video chatting.  Nothing's ever new except maybe the jewelry and that's a stretch.  Those who hang on her every word are the fan club -- they are always there at least once after ever one of LR's posts with nothing but repetitious praises.  Easy and quick to see.  Yes, one will check out the FB when something out of the ordinary comes up and someone makes a point of it here.  I'm certainly not posting everyday and being nice and sweet is not necessary because it's mandated by the majority.

@Lipstickdiva

First let me assure you that I DO NOT visit Lisa's facebook page.  Anything I know about her, I found HERE on Community Chat.

Second, as I posted to someone else, Community Chat was placed here as a forum for ALL who have something to say about many subjects.

Lastly, I  spend as much time caring about Lisa as I do about putting out the trash at the end of the driveway, once a week.
