@minkbunny wrote:.A. I would find it hard work to be Lisa Robertson.
B. I would gratefully pay (as I am sure the money would go to cancer research or another worthy cause) to listen to Lisa Mason and her "Beloved" share their life story. Knowing the honor of caring for a critically ill husband that I love with every fiber of my being, I have followed their story of love, hope, survival, faith and belief in both the power of prayers to God and the knowledge that miracles still happen.
@minkbunny- very well said.

@september wrote:How long is this tea going to be? I can't imagine her having enough time to fill, unless she's selling something.
Or will she use this event to sell her merchandise?
I think Lisa will be selling herself as well as her products. I think she wants to present herself as a worldly woman with taste and wants her tribe to buy whatever product line she presents.
I just can't see that anyone who lives outside of this area will want to pay the additional costs of travel to attend. They can already read her Facebook page for free, from home.
If someone does plan to attend, I'd love to hear why she thinks it's worth the money and the time.

I do know (from the forums) that Lisa had some type of meet and greet luncheon a few years ago in Pa , somewhere near West Chester. Fans posted photos of her and other fans.
Now that she is no longer a host, will she get the same type of reception? I don't know, but I do know that I wasn't interested then and I'm not interested now.

I honestly cant believe LR is 50. She looks at the most 35 for her age. Besides for a few nips and tucks she has had little to no plastic surgery. I literally wonder what her secrets are. She looks 15 years younger then her actual age.***
Her face is shot up with enough Botox and Restylane (sp) for all of us!
Somehow, I just don't believe LR is going to waste too many minutes fighting wrinkles on appearance with Dr. Denese' skin care. She will do exactly what her friend Dr. D. has done, while the hoi poloi is supposed to buy skin care to fight age. HAH! When things start to FALL, good skin care ain't going to do no hard lifting.

It's a beautiful day here...I was struck for the first time by the cool air and reminded that;fall is on the horizon kids!
Gotta type fast, have to walk the dogs...hope it makes sense and I don't get deleted...I'm a little nervous cuz I'm not sure of the rules but I've no intention of being unkind, just an opnion...
@minkbunny and @Stray, Yes, LM is one of those individuals who can’t help but capture the heart-I remember watching her on air when she would actually say; “be wise about your spending, if it creates a hardship, just keep me company.” This world is a better place for having her in it.
@september-or, maybe it will be like a recruiting tea party revival for a new type of Mary Kay or Avon thing…
@HBGlamma-yes, the trying to hard…it was and is the attempt to convince others in a rather, demeaning insinuation that “one” is trying too hard while they themselves reflect the very personification of, trying too hard. But, the ego doesn’t allow that vision to extend to oneself apparently-.
I had to go over and peruse the sites so I could gather some research-It was really quite extraordinary-Kind of like being in Madame Tussaud’s wax museum after the fire and in the middle of Stephen Kings “Cell” novel-all at the same time. You know, with Stephen Kings nod to the whole Facebook group think, cult like mentality thing….I couldn’t stop clicking!
But, I might have a theory –kind of in response to @qwarkster and @MyGirlsMom
She seemingly knows her Facebook audience very well-I mean, her true followers- so to speak-and I think she really understands that, in their eyes, she can do no wrong-in many respects, she speaks to the true nature of the lonely heart, the individuals that need to embrace something, who, for whatever reason, cannot and will not see her as a normal woman-whatever that might be….
They’ve elevated her to a place they can’t admit doesn’t exist-they get something from her-though I can’t speak to what it is. LR is very good at influencing them through their devotion by her inclusion of them in her life and decisions--welcoming them into her home by waking them up with her “good mornings,” she cooks for them, takes them to restaurants, nice hotels, decorates with them, watches television with them, dresses for them, takes them shopping, acknowledges them by name during her chats and ends her day by taking them to the park to watch moon light movies-- - eww, I just creeped myself out!
I think she will do fine in this venue because she can control it. Although everything is very stiff, stayed and scripted, ( the way she incorrectly perceives moneyed people to be) as she builds her internet presence and store, her internet image is what most will see-
She’ll be with people who do not intimidate her-perhaps, individuals who may not have achieved the same level of “notoriety” (such as it might be) and who have not achieved the same social and financial status, such as it is, (or perceived to be) and who live vicariously through her-
They will accept without question information recieved, whether it is correct or incorrect. She needs that. I think she can be very endearing in her affecting posters, therefore, whatever imperfections the attendees are capable of seeing in a public venue, will simply be felt, as Lisa being more relatable- She knows this-and she’ll deal with whatever comes, when it comes-if it comes.
It seems remarkably obvious, the intended reach is for a far greater and grander demographic, because that’s how she views herself-However, for the moment, she has persuaded her “Tribe” that they are those people.
Many years ago a writer friend of mine sat next to a really beautiful actress on a flight…If recollection serves me, it was toward the end of the Dallas period. You know, the TV series.…My mom adored this woman, thought she was stunning, even had the same haircut and color…So, I asked enthusiastically what she was like. And, his only response was; “she believes her own press!” I’ve never forgotten that…..but I think it could apply here-
Always striving for perfection -she’ll have her injections, work extra hard in the gym, have a facial, laser, her roots colored, maybe add a few extensions, or not, buy a new pair of hand tied fox hair eye lashes, hopefully she’s learned how to apply them so the glue won’t be visible, wear something she thinks is fabulous, (hopefully not the white gunny sack) wear all the jewelry she sells or intends to sell, shuffle up to the stage in her Louboutin’s, perhaps standing amidst a forest of gaudily decorated Christmas trees for sale, and charm the pants off of those sitting glassy-eyed, waiting to bestow adoration-they'll all rise, exciting intoxicated and tea stained as though they’ve had a magical afternoon of tea and song with Michael Buble…no worse for the wear, I imagine-Perhaps she’ll announce a partnership that day….
Who can really speak to the heart and mind of another really-I can speak to some extent about the things that were stated through the years by one individual which were incorrect or untrue as they pertained to what might have been stated and accepted without question, to an audience of millions with respect to how a certain faction of society lived, but that’s about it really……(longest sentence in history)
Gotta walk the girls....hope I'm still here when I get back....![]()

Wow, @silentgirl. You've made a whole lot of comments. I'm making dinner but will come back later to read your post more. I think I am in agreement with most of what you posted

Lisa is well-maintained. She doesn't look 35 (does the OP get out and see real people?), but I'd agree with 45. Big deal.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE!!!

You honestly think she looks 35? Bless your heart. And, you do realize along with whatever "procedures" she's had done, she uses a filter for her pics on FB and anywhere else she posts. Personally, I like the idea of using a face filter! She's mentioned this before.
