Taxes when working as a contractor

I recently started working as a contractor, so taxes are not taken out of my paychecks. I was wondering if anyone has experience with this. Is it simple enough for me to figure out my taxes or should I hire an accountant? If I hire an accountant, could any accountant do it? Or do they need to specialize in taxes.
