Charity auction refund?

I bid on and won 2 NHL tickets at a charity auction in July. Since then the game has been cancelled. I never got the tickets from the donor/charity. Am I entitled to a refund? What are your thoughts? I also made a donation to the charity, and bought a ticket to the event AND volunteered for set up/clean up etc.
