I think there is probably a psychological reason why a woman with beautiful skin would think she needed to "improve it" by covering it with ink.

You're right, there is a "psychological reason" as to why someone with beautiful skin would think that she "needed" to "improve" it by "covering it with ink".

I got my tatts for ME, and no one else.

They make ME happy, and I don't give a royal flying fig if others like it or not.

If they don't, then that's their problem, and NOT mine.

I choose to live in the moment, and not worry about what may or may not happen in the future.

We only get ONE life, and I plan on having as much fun as possible, no matter how long or short it may be.

Afterall, I could be killed in an auto accident tomorrow, and I would rather go out knowing that I had had fun, rather than worrying about what I ate, drank, or put on my body.

I've already had cancer and my chances of going into remission were only 30%. I'm not afraid of cancer. I'm living my life to the fullest NOW. I got my first tattoo 30 years ago and I don't regret it. All of my tattoos mean something important to me. I finally got 2 more piercings yesterday in my right ear that I've wanted for ages. Two of my tattoos commemorate finally being considered cured of cancer. I have a list of possible tattoo ideas. Lately I've been really loving knuckle tattoos. I couldn't think of what to put there yet. Then it came to me today, but I'll sit with it for awhile and see if I'm sure that's what I want to say there. ok, I broke out the sharpie and I'm going to see what it looks like LOL.

With that type of thinking people would call those who are fat, slim, short, tall, flat-chested, well-endowed, etc. ugly only because they have the right to "express their feelings".

We all have a different sense of aesthetics yet we don't insult when someone doesn't fit into our tiny box of what we think is beautiful.

I'm not worried and I have tattoos. It seems the only ones who are Concerned don't even have tattoos. I think it's just another thread for people to express their disapproval. People who have ink actually don't care what you think

Johnny Depp called his ex wife SLIM which he had written on his knuckles but changed to SCUM because of the divorce. Lovely just lovely. Hope it makes him feel better.

Wow. Well, it does make sense. I hope everybody is careful with it, since there is more and more info out there.

I don't have any tattoos and the primary reason for that is that it really looks like it hurts a lot! I am chicken!

I hope it is not true, as so many in the younger generation have these tatoos. Doesn't appeal to me, but it shouldn't be a health risk and I trust it will turn out that it is not. What the heck do our public services pay for, if not to make elective purchases safe? Whether it is eggs or frozen veg or meat or a tatoo? Or a carseat? Consumers are supposed to have protection and their taxes pay for those precautions.
