Target is kicking off the holiday shopping season earlier than ever with its annual savings event — (Edited to remove link)

The Target Deal Days 2022 sale starts on Thursday and runs through Saturday, with sales held in-store and online.

Target promises “half a million gifting deals” on items such as the latest toys, electronics and video games, beauty products, food and beverage merchandise, and everyday essentials, as well as Target-branded products and top national brands like Apple and Disney.

Target said this is the earliest chance to score the lowest prices of the season with items up to 50% off across all categories. Plus, shoppers will be able to earn gift cards on some purchases to use at a later date.

In addition, Target shoppers will receive free shipping on orders of $35 or more at Target.com or placed with a Target Red Card, which also saves them 5%. Orders can also be made for curbside pickup or in-store pickup within two hours or for same-day delivery within one hour with Shipt.

Also starting on Thursday, is Target’s Holiday Price Match Guarantee. The price match feature runs until Dec. 24, offering customers the option to have Target match a competitor’s price within 14 days of purchase.

Target is not the only retailer holding an early holiday sale this week as Amazon is holding a second Prime Day sale on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 11 to 12. Prime members, and Walmart said it is rolling back prices earlier than ever to give customers more time to get their holiday shopping done.

I was just on Target's site this morning because I needed wide (24"), real wood, ottoman trays with handles. Found the perfect ones! I'm not sure they were on the deal days sale, but they were a much better price than I had budgeted for them. Happy, happy.
