Talking about Retirement....

I woke up this morning and fixed my husband his lunch for work as I always do ON MONDAY...... THEN I realized it was only Sunday.....

This happens a lot not being on a schedule anymore the last three years. Often times I  go  a whole day thinking it was say Monday when it was really Tuesday!

 Oh the joys of freedom from a work schedule! Smiley Happy  Not complaining!

I have one of these clocks.  Bought as a joke, but often useful when retired.

Re: Talking about Retirement....

I often have to check the guide on my TV to see what day of the week it is when I get up.

Seems like even though husband and son have places to be and a pretty set schedule, about mid week, I can't remember if it is Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday, sometimes!

I can relate.  Since I retired I never know what day it is.

Re: Talking about Retirement....

I work full time and get the days mixed up.  This week I thought Wednesday was Thursday.  I never mix up my weekend days though!!!

Re: Talking about Retirement....

I volunteer on Mon and Fri and I have sewing club on Wed and church on Sun so I should be able to keep track , but I still get up in the morning and look at my computer where the home page says SUNDAY May 22, 2016. Otherwise I would lose track. Then I look at my calender to see what I have to do that day.

I have noticed that when I have to sign and date things at the bank, financial advisor's, or court, I ALWAYS have to ask what the actual date is. It isn't age, it's not having to care anymore!

@SeaMaiden

i can relate, and now my wife also. many times i remember the day only because of commitments i have made or appointments. otherwise most days of the week no longer mean that much to me. every day i live to experience adds more to my life.

A smartphone is our friend.  If I ever lose the calendar app, I will just pack it up.

Re: Talking about Retirement....

Ever since I retired a few years ago the day of the week is almost irrelevant.  It's like every day is Saturday to me.  Smiley Happy
