Just saw this in today's news. Look at this sign, created and placed on the busiest spot on the interstate in the state by the University of South Dakota marketing department this week. A few red faces around town. Guess they don't teach grammar in college anymore!

Ha!  Yikes!   When you see it on a ginormous sign it's just 'oh, my eyes!'.  hehe

I'm having a heck of a time typing this morning.  I think I've had a typo in every post I've made so far.

LOL!  I once saw a job posting for a position at a local private university that prides itself on having many prestigious & well-known alumnae among its ranks.  The posting was for a "basketball couch." When I showed it to a co-worker, he quipped that he'd rather be a chair.

While looking on craigslist at employment opportunities, there was one  that said to contact them if the ad "peaked" my interest.  Ugh  

What "piqued" my interest was how something like that can happen.

They are quoting Forbes magazine.  Wrong quotation or two organizations that need help?

If we're going to get technical, it's punctuation, not grammar.

Well, it's kind of grammar - in that it's the difference between a plural and a possessive.    No?  Ok, I tried.

I remember one of my elementary school teachers giving us this great example...

"A woman, without her man, is nothing."

"A woman: without her, man is nothing."

Punctuation is powerful!!
