Re: Taking down the fall decorations and

I just put Autumn away and when I’m done with my coffee I’ll start with the 🌲 tree. I’m so excited, love Christmas, celebrating the birth of Christ and everything else that comes with the season. My most favorite time of the year.

Happy decorating everyone.

Re: Taking down the fall decorations and

Many in our neighborhood have put out their Christmas decorations weeks ago.  Where I live, everything is an association neighborhood and all the surrounding neighborhoods have had their lights at the entrances up since beginning of November.  It almost feels like Thanksgiving gets bypassed.  We just started putting Fall away and taking out Christmas.  It takes a longer these days get it get done.

Re: Taking down the fall decorations and

Well, one thing has led to another, realized I really have some cleaning and sorting rooms to do before getting out decor (no funnnn), but will be happy when the house feels ready for it.

So I'm in cleaning mode right now~will put what little fall I have around away first. My Christmas boxes are in an outdoor storage, so that's a task in itself. Step by step...just not at the fun stuff quite yet...it will no doubt be a weekend project. But fun. (once I get past the cleaning.)

Seasonally decorating my home has become dependent on the ability to dispose of the decorative items in the trash at the end of the season.  I no longer wish to store and retrieve items year-to-year.  It has become all about pumpkins and natural wreaths at my house.

We live on a cul-de-sac, and we are the only ones without the entire yard and porch decorated for Christmas! The tree is up, but not decorated, and I  will spend this weekend getting it done. I had no desire to be among the unmasked masses today during the Black Friday madness....I am so anxious to enjoy my decorations and listen to Christmas music. Have not even bought a single Christmas gift yet, but don't feel stressed.

I do love that way of thinking and have been adopting some of that. Definitely for fall...it's all natural, real pumpkins etc. Except for my faux, fall wreath.

Real is so simply beautiful and seasonal, and then, out it goes!

I'm not there yet. But there have been some years I've only wanted to do a little and that's the way to go. Depends what mood I'm in.

Not buying anything else anymore to store, (I have enough!), other than the new pre-lit artificial tree last year. I just wanted full size again and didn't want all the fuss of lighting a real one, clean up after, and I also tend to keep the tree up long.
