Taking down the fall decorations and

time to get out our new items for the Christmas season.  I want a full month of it this year.  It means so much to me this year, over all others.  It's the best season to me, and I want to really enjoy it this year.

Re: Taking down the fall decorations and

I'll be doing the same today, I'm ready for a little Christmas. This is my first year I really did some fall decorating although very minimal so packing away those decorations will be a piece of cake. Pulling out all those decades of Christmas decorations will take a day or two but I'm thinking of putting out everything I have; each year, I leave another box packed away but not this year.  A few of my neighbors have already put up outside decorations so I don't think I'm alone in wanting to start. Enjoy your decorating!

Re: Taking down the fall decorations and

Same here! I plan on starting around the house today. Cleaning up, putting away Fall, moving things into Christmas. I'm really into it this year.  I've never been one, in the past, to do it early, usually after the 12th (we've always been busy and sometimes away, BF's bday is the 12th.) But last year I ordered a new pre-lit tree that was delivered the day after Thanksgiving and I started putting it up that day.  We were all still homebound and hanging out last year.

So, now I'm into this early decorating. Smiley Happy I also often had to work on Black Friday, past few years, but no more, so I'm happy to be able to have the time to enjoy this this weekend.

Enjoy all your decorating, everyone! 🎄

Yep, that time again.  Decorating today.  Quite the chore, but I leave everything up until time for spring decorating.  Can't stand to take down all the sparkle and light during those long winter days.

Oh I'm so glad to read this, lol. Me too! At least last year I did the "until Spring" thing...it cheered a dreary year, and dreary, dark season. Smiley Happy

I've often only put up a small tree, white lights, old charming ornaments, which looks fine as a "seasonal tree" after Christmas, then I'd change it to Valentine's with all my heart ornaments, then I'd take it down.

But...last year, like I said in my other post, I bought a new, full sized pre-lit tree, morphing lights-color/white, and kept it up, intending to take it down in Feb....wound up staying up until BF bought me a pre-lit birch type tree to hang Easter eggs on.

And ya know what, after Covid 2020..."anything goes" that made me happy was my motto last year! I'm glad to have a kindred sprit here...usually I read more people saying their Christmas is put away day after New Years!

I'm putting it up early and not planning to keep it up to spring this year...but I feel it out...if it still cheers a dark winter's night through Jan/Feb...ok by me to stay up. I take down some of the other actual Christmas decor though and make it more "seasonal."

Re: Taking down the fall decorations and

@Patriot3 @amyb  I'm with you both!   I couldn't have said it better myself.  I'm going to clean my house and take down all the fall decor stuff today.   Then it will most likely take a couple more days to decorate for Christmas but I didn't make any other plans for this weekend!   I've been looking forward to it!  We had a great Thanksgiving yesterday and am now excited to move on!   I don't think I will keep them all up until spring, though I do leave my window candles and snowman collection out for the winter.

Have fun everyone Smiley Happy

Yep, that's on the list for this weekend.  We're going bumming today, just to be about, but we have nothing urgent to buy. I did some BF shopping online earlier today.  When we get home we'll put fall away and tomorrow Christmas will come out.

I'm doing the same and I'm looking for something I purchased and can't find. It's not that important but frustrating. Happy decorating!
