This was in a family forum, in a Local magazine, and I think the girl raises some solid, thought provoking points: I am a 16 year old, high school Junior. Although it may not matter, I'm an honor student, involved in sports and extra curricular activities, and volunteer, as an aide, in an assisted living center. I have a boyfriend, but it's not serious, and we have no problem with restrictions our Parents place on our relationship. I was recently grounded and had privileges restricted, because some friends and I foolishly, got involved in a Facebook posting "fight". It was not cool and it escalated, more than anyone intended. I'm not saying I don't deserve the punishment, but, here's my question : If it's wrong, and it is, to behave like we did, how is it OK, for my 40 year old Mom, to participate in the snark, and I DO mean some of it is downright cruel, snark on TWOP that she so enjoys? I know her response, but, I don't quite buy it, and, at least, isn't it setting a poor example, and a little bit hypocritical? Good points, how would you respond?
