The concept makes me think of a show from a few years ago called "The 4400", about missing people who returned (in this show with special powers). You have to enjoy shows with science fiction/ fantasy elements to get into this kind of show. I've always enjoyed tv shows and films with some sort of "magic". Who wouldn't want their loved ones returned to them?

I may watch on In Demand to see what its like. I used to love the Ghost Whisperer for the reason of dead people being able to contact their loved ones. Do I believe in this stuff? No, its just a show but it seems good so I will give it a whirl.

I am curious to watch first episode because in my bible study, I Have been told and shown scriptures when a resurrection is to occur here on earth. It talks about the earth and the sea given up the dead to a ressurrection of life here on earth which is hard for me to grasp. There are a lot of scriptures that state this, not everyone going to heaven. I will watch to see how they explain this. Is it because of Easter around the corner, with movies like Noah, The son of God and now this show coming out. Look up resurrection in the Bible and come to your own understanding.

My husband and I saw the commercials for it this weekend.

It is a sad, but somewhat intriguing concept. We plan on watching the first episode. I am sure I am going to cry, but if it's done right, it could be a great show. It may be somewhere along the lines of Ghost Whisperer (which we loved) in terms of being reunited with loved ones.

I'll have to wait and see.

It's based on "The Returned" a French Series that aired on Sundance this past Summer.

We loved the French version. I hope the English spin off does it justice.

I watched the series on Sundance, and LOVED it!! Can't wait for the second season.

I've been curious about Resurrection, and plan on checking it out.

I watched The Returned and enjoyed it. I'll be skipping the American version.

Then any story that depicts any painful human experiences is somehow exploiting people?! That makes no sense. Americans have a deep fear of death and everything surrounding it. That's why we were the last Western country to accept hospice because we want to rush our dying to a hospital whether they can be fixed or not. We send the remains of our dead to funeral homes and only lately have some begun to take care of their dead at home. It's not against the law as many people think. It's just that we want to be distanced from death.

No one knows for certain what happens after we die and that leaves the subject open to interpretation and musing by writers, poets, etc.. I think I will watch the new show. It deserves a chance. It's a fascinating topic.

I've buried my mother, my sister, my daughter and my granddaughter. I do not fear death. I simply have no interest in this show.

OMG, Lulu, how tragic that is. I am so sorry to hear this. Please accept my sincerest condolences. You are a very strong woman to survive that.

I'm not expecting Resurrection to be as great as The Returned, but I still would like to check it out. The French series was excellent. Tough waiting 'til the end of the year for season two!
