It's based on ""The Returned"" a French Series that aired on Sundance this past Summer.

We loved the French version. I hope the English spin off does it justice.

If it's done right, it could be a very interesting concept. I will give it a try.

I'm with you, I'm going to watch. I've seen the commercials and I'm interested in seeing how it goes. Since it originated in GB how bad can it be?

You can never fully grasp the premise of show until you watch an episode and give it a chance, which I will do.,

I remember watching the promos for "Lost" years ago and wondering how in the world they could make a series that would hold my interest on this concept. After the first episode, I was hooked for years.

Then any story that depicts any painful human experiences is somehow exploiting people?! That makes no sense. Americans have a deep fear of death and everything surrounding it. That's why we were the last Western country to accept hospice because we want to rush our dying to a hospital whether they can be fixed or not. We send the remains of our dead to funeral homes and only lately have some begun to take care of their dead at home. It's not against the law as many people think. It's just that we want to be distanced from death.

No one knows for certain what happens after we die and that leaves the subject open to interpretation and musing by writers, poets, etc.. I think I will watch the new show. It deserves a chance. It's a fascinating topic.

Was that directed at me? I try not to Pre-judge anything.. or anyone-

The French show "The Returned" was great. The 2nd season will air this year.

I feel like I have Monday brain a few times during the week. Smile

So now it's a French derivative. Sometimes the French leave me miffed, still it's worth giving it a chance.

I agree with you ladies. This looks like it could be very interesting.
