@151949

If you've never had His N Her bathrooms, don't knock them!  Frankly, with every home, I insist on it.

The ad I dislike is the Palmer's Cocoa Butter commercial.  Can't stand the large pregnant belly all greased up.  ugh!

They have to give any possible side effects (including death) because of law suits. I would think most drug side effects are rare.  Everyone is different with their immune system.

I hate all phamacutical ads... with their gushy music playing with people dancing in the tulips... and then you can hear the drone of a voice telling you how this drug may kill you.....

All of the above - especially the one with the homeless animals. It's such a tear jerker that I suspect 80% of us change the channel.  Perhaps they would do better if they had something less "painful" and had more people who could watch their commercial without changing the channel.

There are two that I cann't stand at the moment. One is for a new show which features a woman who calls herself Pooh.  I cringe in pain when she says that "if a chicken comes into my house, he gets ATE".  What are we teaching our children putting this on television?

And my most hated (yes, I said hated) commercial is the Oprah Winfrey commercial, claiming that she has lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers. Doesn't everyone know that she has a big monetary investment in the company?  And hasn't she lost that same 40 pounds a dozen times over?

Always on the very best diet or plan? And don't most of us remember that she has a personal chef, who I am sure makes her some fabulous food with the required number of calories. The screaming out of "I LOVE BREAD" and "I LOVE CHIPS" is more than enough to send me to the remote, although I am usually there at once when I see her in that awful black warm up thing.

I actually do have 2 bathrooms and one of them has 2 sinks and is huge - however, I still don't get the point of it - it just happens to be included in the house I wanted. Why on earth do people need huge bathrooms and double sinks? We are mature enough to share the bathroom sink. When we go to camp in the summer we only have one BR and it is tiny - we don't miss the huge BR or the double sinks at all.

So just because you don't like it or want it or need it, nobody else can either?  It has nothing to do with maturity.

When people are getting ready for work in the morning, it's nice to have two sinks.  It's nice to have space to move around and a place to put things on the counter.  It makes getting ready easier.

I have to change the channel always when the one w/ shelter animals comes on & asking for donations to save their lives. The sad music plays in the background...usually  "In The Arms Of An Angel". The camera looks deeply into the pitiful animals' eyes. It takes 2 seconds for the tears to start streaming down my cheeks. No matter how many times it comes on, I still can't handle it.

@Shanus

I despise exploitation of animals and children and cannot watch these commercials.  Plus I am wary of where the money actually goes.  I turn the channel immediately any time one of these appears.

@mollybgood thank you for this as I could not agree more and I would also throw in ads for lawyers and their self-enriching which we all end up paying for lawsuits.

Pharmaceutical commercials are despicable and in a class of their own.  I have heard there is a bill in Congress that is probably all crinkled up and yellow by now which would ban these "drug pushers" from TV.  Big Pharma will never let that legislation see the light of day.

As for the rest, they are always muted or I change the channel if they are long ones.  I block the screen by holding the remote in front of my eyes until I am sure they are over.

I do not like the John Leguizamo commercial. His voice goes right through me.

As far as the bathroom and double sinks, if that's what people like and want that's great. The poster who doesn't ,sure wouldn't like that my niece and nephew each have their own bathrooms. No sharing sinks for them. LOL
