It was an excellent show. I may have occasionally looked away for a moment. The books were my introduction to Dexter, quirky and also excellent.

I've only seen it once and it was pretty gory. Maybe it was just the particular episode? A friend of mine loves it. I know it's very popular and supposed to be really good. Shows like that usually don't bother me that much but I realize they aren't for everyone.

Six Feet Under was a great show, agreed.

SFU had one of the greatest last episodes in TV history. It was stunning.

Well, I did watch the first 3 episodes this weekend. It makes me somewhat uncomfortable, but not so much I can't watch it...so far anyway.

I have a spoiler question. Does this Ice truck killer storyline remain season after season like "Red John" in The Mentalist?

For me it wasn't very explicit at all. But then I have a very high tolerance level. Not much fazes me.

Their serial killers usually remain in the same season but some of them are referenced in future seasons.

Oh no there are many more serial killers. Dexter does have morals, he only kills serial killers.

Thanks. I was hoping the ice truck guy wouldn't go from season to season. Got bored with that scenario with Red John.

I watched a couple of the shows when it first came on ... but no more. Too much violence for me.

Same with Game of Thrones ...
