didn't like Carolyn's very good made her face look real fat
Pat's wasn't too hot either.
Some look better, others, nah
If I ever have to have chemo I would buy one.
I had chemo and still didn't wear a wig! They look like wigs! Ugh. I wore nice clothes, did my makeup, and put on a scarf or cap and was just fine

I bought the last TSV wig (several months ago) . It wasn't at all like it appeared on the air or in the picture on the product page. Looked very "wiggy."
It went back the following morning.
I wore them years ago in the 60s and 70s. We had a wardrobe of wigs! We bought them at Macy's and Gertz (local dept. store) ... you could try them on and have them styled for you right then.

Sorry to change the subject but when I saw Gertz it brought back so many memories. I am a native New Yorker who left to live in CA in 1965 but I sure remember the times I shopped in the Gertz Dept. Store, and of course Macy's too.

Just wondering -- I would like to try a short wig just for fun, but aren't they hot? I always wondered that!

SO true lol. I thought Carolyn in the darker wig looked younger than her real hari.

Toni's 'styleable fiber' wigs and pieces look more like real hair than her other ones do. I own a few hair pieces made of that kind of fiber and it even feels like real hair. The thing about most wigs and pieces is that you can't just pull it out of the box, plop it on and expect it to look right. It needs to be styled just like you would do with your real hair. Otherwise I think it would look 'wiggy'.

I also left NYC (in 1970) and went to CA. Short time in LA area (didn't like it) and then moved up to SF Bay Area.
Moved back to NYC in 1989.

I agree with you. Tried one of these and sent it back.

I think the Q's wig brands need to offer 'lace-front' and 'fake-scalp' wigs. Those are the most real looking wigs made. They look so natural that it's hard to tell they are wigs unless you get really close with a magnifying glass. Women and men of color have been wearing them for eons.
