I like the idea of the smoker but don't have room. Does anyone know if you can accomplish the same thing in an regular oven?

Yes, you can. I have a smoker but I have read it can be done in the oven. Google smoking meat in the oven.

I read on some sites it can ruin the oven. I was wondering if that's true.

Have they found a safe way to smoke meat? I thought it was carcinogenic although haven't been watching the presentations.

It cannot be done -- unless you want your home to smell permanently of smoke,

I don't know but I think I'd be concerned with my house smelling like burnt wood. I'm not even mentioning this idea to my husband, he will want to try it.

I thought it would make the house smell

Does smoking the food cause cancer or is it the chemicals?

I know people who smoke deer jerky in a regular oven.

The meat looks so tender. If I had the room I would buy one (not necessarily the TSV) in a heartbeat.
