@hoosieroriginal  Didn't see this. I just commented on another thread, the same thing you said.

The TSV is Dyson's older version.  There is a newer version already out called the V8.

Personally, if I was going to purchase, I would wait for QVC to present it as a TSV AND check BBB as well for their 20% discount along with FREE shipping.

I personally own the Shark Rocket which is cheaper & does a fabulous/excellent job.  Does the same job as Dyson stick cordless.

Hi all...I do own a Shark Cordless Navigator Freestyle, which I love.  The thing is, it doesn't come with attachments.  I also have a handheld Black & Decker, but with the bending over and overhead vacuuming, the unit gets heavy fast.  Just thought with Dyson being cordless (yay), and the attachments would make it easier.

My son owns the ball vac and likes it, but I prefer cordless.

Paid the newer model becomes a TSV, do you think it'll be presented at $399?

I have a Dyson animal and also the TSV. Best vacuums I've ever owned!

The only thing I would caution you about, @AKgirl2 , with the reasons you've given, is that the motor and dustcup are in the handle of both the Dyson and the Shark.  If you're thinking they're truly "lightweight", I have the newest Rocket and there's 3 lbs.+ lbs. weight in the handle to take into consideration,  Overhead you will feel it.  Lower level there's no problem.  It's too bad you're set on cordless as I couldn't recommend this latest rendition of the Rocket any more highly.  I can't imagine anything else being any better.

I know you'll make the right choice for you, so good luck with that.  The Q is very good with their vacuum TSV prices, so I would imagine the newer Dyson will be right around that $399 when offered as one.  HTH'sWoman Happy

Thanks for your input...I do own the Shark Rocket (2015) that was a TSV.  Never opened, now in storage, lower 48.  I do love cordless back though, so much easier to useSmiley Happy  I really like the cordless Shark Freestyle I use now but would like attachments for pet fur, blinds, use in car...

Re: TSV ~ Dyson...Recommendations:)

My first purchase from QVC was the Dyson Animal Vacuum back in 2012. I loved it and used it until it just broke this year. I can't get the motor head to move anymore. I have replaced it once as well. I blame it on my MIL though. She likes to vacuum up socks! Haha!

Anyhoo, I also have the Shark upright, but it's heavy! I can't lift it up and down the stairs because of my back.

I am looking into purchasing this TSV today as well. I didn't realize there is a newer version out as someone had mentioned earlier. I'm thinking I may wait if what others are saying is true that it will be a TSV as well.
