@nana59 I am not offended either but so many are these days...e.g.no Christmas trees at school or in government buildings.I don't care but some religions and non religious people take offense.

I haven't paid a whole lot of attention today, but I know there are a lot of people who treasure this line of jewelry and see it as THEIR symbols of what they believe in.

We all do have different beliefs, and if wearing something helps me in any way remember why I am here or gives me happiness when I put it on, then I hope others don't disparage me for that!

Most religions and beliefs have symbols. Smiley Happy

The thing is, they are macrame bracelets with beads. They're not woven, they're knotted.   But, if they mean something to you-then ok!

Being Jewish, I have no intrest in these bracelets.  But I am certainly not offended by any presentations - I guess because I don't watch them - lol!  If wearing a religious symbol gives you comfort and peace, that's wonderful.  Someone did say that Kathy Levine use to present Jewish items - actually she use to present one show at the holidays that had Hannukah items - menorahs and dreidels.  When I had questioned years ago why those shows were no longer on air I was told there wasn't the volumn needed to have the show on air but the products could still be purchased online at any time.  And knowing that we (Jews) are such a tiny minority of the world population, I totally understand!  And I remember when Jewish people asked for the Jeanne Bice line to include a Hannukah shirt since there were so many Christmas shirts being offered.  And then a couple of years ago they did offer an adorable Hannukah top which of course I purchased.  Just remember if you are offended by a QVC presentation, then just change the channel or turn off TV.  No need to get angry or upset.

I guess you cannot please everyone but they do have to offer different items for different people.  I'm not bothered by other reilgions, I say live and let live.   As far as the vendor for the TSV yesterday, I believe she is genuine.........maybe it's just me but I wore one of these bracelets during a serious illness and so did my daughter and my sister.....(the pink for breast cancer).   It helped us to be in solidarity during a difficult time because you cannot always be together, life goes on.

@nana59 @dex

Vendors are allowed to bring in jewelry with religious symbolism, it was banned from the Forums due to flame wars that discussions into religion caused.......

Let's not forget that Babara Bixby sells her jewelry incorporating Hindu gods and new age stuff with her skull  jewelry with her spiel......

Her skull  jewellry also has symbolism in Hindu and Buddism.......

In India, skulls played a particularly important role in religious depictions. Skulls often adorned ancient gods and goddess as necklaces or bracelets, showing their ability to conquer death.

And some of John Hardy's jewelry has Balinese themes which has Hindu-Javenese roots.......

And how can a vendor discuss jewelry with a cross without mentioning its symbolism and God just as Barbara does with her jewelry and her Hindu gods!

For those that find these jewelry lines not to their taste here's a solution---don't watch the shows!   I didnt make a purchase of the TSV, but I have purchased crosses, and jewelry incorporating angel wings etc..........I believe in allowing people to express whatever faith they follow.....

I'm a religious person and attend church regularly, and this bracelet did not interest me in the least.  And the stories. Gimme a break.
