Who responded to my threads:
1. Thinking of buying a new computer
2. Things just didn't work right tonight
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate each and every response. I am touched by how many of you took the time and I thank each and everyone of you.
My computer seems to be working fine today, however, I am definitely going to purchase a new one. I do require a desk top so that's the avenue I am going down on.
Again, a big thank you to all of you.

@Lindsays Grandma Do you have Cox Communications? They reported "some outages" Tuesday. I had a challenge with some of my accounts.....but they resolved the challenges later in the day. di

Have you kept up with updates to Windows etc? If not, that can cause problems.
I bought an Apple laptop and can't imagine ever going back to Windows. It is now 5 years old and works like new. I think it's pretty intuitive.
Apple costs more than a Windows laptop but it's lasted longer than any laptop or desktop I've ever had. I would be on at least my second Windows laptop if I had gone that route so the cost has already been covered.

Again my vote is for Apple iPad----terrific.

I, too, enjoy my laptop. Recently purchased a "renewed" one from Amazon. Love it!
Just can't get used to a flat, or small keyboard! Why?
P.S. Love your quotes!

@Desertdi Nope, no Cox connections, years ago yes, now strictly streaming.

@Desertdi ...Everything okay? When I don't see you on here I begin to worry.

Apple is the best. But you pay out the nose for it. Chromebook and Android are the best budget options, IMO.
(I used to be PC (meaning Windows Personal Computer) all the way, but now that I have a Macbook, I understand what people were talking about. PCs are still good, but Mac is sooo much nicer than I had realized.)
Not sure whether you are making a distinction between a laptop/notebook type computer and a desktop one. Some people lump them all together. Most computer options these days are laptop/notebook computers. Desktop computers tend to be very high end and designed for video editing and other very intense computing. Sorry if I'm telling you something you already knew!

@Desertdi That brought back memories of when we had bird feeders in our backyard when we lived in Queen Creek. Incidentally, considering how Road Runners are known to make their home in AZ, in all the years I've lived here I have seen only one. Have you seen any where you live?
