I have a question to any people who have gone through TKR.
I am 12 weeks post-op and still am using pain meds (Percocet) I only take 2 tablets once a day, and for the past week have given up taking two tablets at bedtime.
I have not been sleeping well at night this past week, lots of tossing and turning and pain with knee stiffness.
I know this is a strong pain killer and want to use it responsibly, don't want to get addicted or become dependant on it.
I go to PT twice each week and also do my exercises at home. My knee bend is at 105 degrees, their goal for me is 110 degrees so I'm almost there
I was wondering if it is common that I would still be using pain medication at this point. I keep waiting for the day when I feel pain-free like I did years ago (before I had knee problems), so far that day hasn't arrived!
Any thoughts, comments or experiences are welcome.
Thank you.
