Go to the ER and do not wait until Monday.

I agree! Monday could be too late. Not being unkind, but anything could happen. PLEASE go get checked out ASAP!!!

Re: TIA? (Transient Ischemic Attack)

My husband experienced his one and only TIA 3 years ago. We were leaving Joplin, MO. with plans to meet Show Me on our way to Illinois. It was 6:30 a.m., he put his shoes on and lost his balance, bumping into the wall. I told him to sit on the bed and within seconds, he started making no sense at all. I knew immediately what was happening and I called 911. I'm in a strange city trying to follow an ambulance. CT scan and MRI performed showing NO evidence of a stroke. Doctor kept questioning him as to time, date and who the president was. Over the next 12 hours his memory came back completely. He has been on Plavix ever since. BTW ~ his blood pressure was never elevated. Neurologist said he may never ever have this again but no guarantees in this life.

I had an episode of complete lethargy and shortness of breath. My BP was so elevated he thought I had a blood clot. Sent me to the E.R. which was next door to his office, had CT scans and ultrasounds. Later that evening my diagnosis came in: bacterial pneumonia. Go figure.

Just get yourself to the E.R. if you're not feeling well.

Re: TIA? (Transient Ischemic Attack)

Hope you went to the ER. When I went to a minute clinic for a nasty cold, my BP was 161/82 and the nurse advised me to go to the emergency room right away. Please let us know what happened.

Re: TIA? (Transient Ischemic Attack)

I'm guessing she ignored the good advice to get help ASAP. Oh well she's still posting so I'm guessing she's ok. For now. I really HOPE she got medical attention at SOME point.

Re: TIA? (Transient Ischemic Attack)

I had a CT scan and it was discovered that I had had a TIA a long time ago, in my right parietal lobe of my brain, and I have no idea of how , when, or where it happened. They think now I may have had more, but I can't recall any disturbances. They can be very sneaky. It isn't smart to sit around and not get to a hospital. The next one can kill you quickly.

If you even think you might be having difficulties, PLEASE seek medical help immediately. It's not worth dying over.

I'm on Plavix, Imdur for angina, and baby aspirin now.

Re: TIA? (Transient Ischemic Attack)

I saw her post something like it was too complicated to explain.
