I just read about a woman who volunteers at a sea turtle rescue center, and here is her Subaru, packed with turtles who have been stunned by this recent cold.  Thank goodness, among all the assistance being mobilized for a multitude of needs, there are people helping these helpless darlings....

Praying for Texas and the vast affected region.

Yes, humans should try and help all of nature if they can.  Otherwise, the earth will be a more sorry place.  Praying for all.

Sea Turtle Inc. has rescued 4,000 sea turtles so far. People seem to be busy.

OOPS! This is in Florida. I don't know what to think - the headline for this CBS article says Texas.

Re: TEXAS RESCUE OF SEA TURTLES

The volunteer reported they managed to rescue 1000 yesterday, filling up several huge venues.  The poor things become comatose, apparently, if the water goes below a certain temperature.  Hoping they can get as many as possible to safety.

How great she is helping those turtles.  I wish everyone in Texas - human or animal - to stay safe and warm.

My heroes are those who give time and effort quietly and without fanfare and help our animals, birds, sea life, the environment.  This woman is a hero without a doubt and reading this post is so uplifting and positive because it gives me hope there are many good decent people out there who should be in the news for what they do.  Her acts of kindness are very much appreciated and I thank you, Oznell, for this post.  It made me feel good!

I wondered how they kept  that many turtles contained in that room without them crawling all over.  Still partially comatose might explain that. Love this story. : )
