Switching between Shopping Channels

Does anyone know why some seller start on one shopping channel and then switch to another? For example Model's Prefer on QVC and not its YBF on HSN. Another is Suzanne Somers is now on Shop NBC.

Do they have contracts and then when the contract is up they can move to another channel? Why then did Model's Prefer change its name?
