SwiftX shipping??

[ Edited ]

A package came to my address today (small bubble wrap pouch with what seems to be a bottle) and it was addressed to someone who doesn't live here.

The printed address is across the street but someone has written our street number in sharpie on the label.

The house it was originally addressed to has a very large BEWARE OF DOG sign placed prominently on the fence

so I am not keen to trot over to my death and see if they are there.

The shipping company is SwtftX Swift Express.  They are apparently the shipper of choice for many TEMU items.

I buy nothing from TEMU so I wasn't familiar with the company.  I looked them up and the internet is chock full of hate for this company.

Items non delivered, late delivered, out for delivery in perpetuity, items marked refused by sender when nobody was ever contacted, and when customer service is called you are hung up on after holding for only 2 minutes.

My internet SafeSearch has a warning not to contact their website.

I know we have a few TEMU shoppers here.  Do you guys have experience with this company?

I feel badly that I can't get this package to the lady who is surely expecting it.

I buy some things from Temu but have never heard of that delivery company.  My stuff comes to NYC via DHL.

I would leave a note on that neighbor's fence, gate or whatever is there and tell them about the package.

She is afraid to do that due to the Beware of Dog sign on the gate.

Then I would just toss the package over the fence and RUN.

That is why I suggested tossing it from the car.

If the other suggestions are not workable, you might consider writing the neighbor(s) a note about the package and mailing it via USPS for a very good neighbor deed -- although it would cause a delay in transmitting the package. Otherwise, you could consider placing the package in a plastic bag to protect it from the elements, etc. before tossing it over the fence. Or -- is there some way you could get the phone number of the intended recipient (s)?

@Shelbelle. Apparently Swiftex was too chicken to risk the dog, so they elected you to do it.  Can you go over when the dog is not outside?   Google their name for a phone number?  Put it in a plastic bag and hang inside the gate?
