Not sure if ok to ask this question so it may be poofed. Has anyone ever entered the PCH Sweepstakes ?  I did and sorry I did it ! They bombard your email several times a day saying it's urgent that you update your entry then try to get you to buy more and more stuff.    I initially bought a couple of items that I can use but have no intention to buy anything else. Now they are mailing me to buy stuff and update my entry. Never again !! I delete at least 4-5 emails everyday.

@Goodie2shoes   There should be a place on the bottom of the email to Unsubcribe.  It may take up to 10 days for it to be final.  Anytime I start getting unwanted email, that is the first thing I look for.

@Goodie2shoes. Check at the bottom of one of their emails and see if there's an option to "unsubscribe".  There's got to be some way to get rid of them.  Thanks for warning us

Oh yes, I unsubscribed and they even have you take a survey asking why you unsubscribed and if it's because they send too many emails. Of course I said YES.  I just wondered if anyone else has entered this contest and to give a heads up on the constant emails. I didn't think it was legal that they could be so pushy to insist you buy stuff and tell you it's urgent that you respond to prevent loosing your chance to win the sweepstakes. Thanks

I find that a huge percentage of any site we click into intending to use it just once suddenly inubdates me with emails.

I've been avoiding replying to all sorts of questionaires, of surveys asking "how did we do," etc.  That "free" cup of coffee they offer for replying isn't free.  It's attached to 100 emails!

I won't even bother trying another shopping channel as much because of not wanting to be hounded as because I'm in love with the ones I altready use.

I know businesses are desperate, but I come first!

It's too bad you gave them your "serious" email address.  I enter all the time and have for years but I have what I call "a throwaway email" just for this purpose.  Works great, goes to an email address that I check up on once in awhile. I also think you can divert those emails to your junk address and won't have to see them, just dump your junk periodically.

I just recently read, that it is illegal for sweepstakes organizers to make it appear, or imply, that winning may be contingent on purchasing.  I think it was a, watch for scams comment, from AARP.

Legal 'sweeps' are not to discriminate, by law.  But, I'm sure they have a way around it with the particular wording they're using.

Like, oh, you just need to stay updated, but while you're at it, you might BENEFIT from one of our offerings. This could be taken two ways. I imagine that's how they manage to escape the law.

I bought one item back in 1999.  I keep entering but have never purchased anything since.  I am getting tired of being inundated by all of their emails and am considering opting out.  But hey, someone's got to win and if I don't enter I can't win.  I just refuse to purchase anything.

Before the email option even existed, I used to enter by mail.

If you did not purchase, the entries would become more and more complicated and you had to perform multiple tasks.

I decided the entire process was a farce and a waste of time.

I then put all mailings straight in the trash, and I guess I am off the list because I receive nothing now.

I recommend buying lottery tickets instead--probably more fair!
