Beautiful! You had one pic on here once and your hair was turned under I think. You are brave to post your pic on here. Have you had a vertebroplasty when they break? DH had one about four weeks ago and they are great.

Oh, he was one of my DH's favorites, too, Ford. He bought a lovely silk scarf for me, depicting "The Kiss," and had it framed. So pretty.

Oh wow, I envy you!! Imagine a man appreciating this wonderful (if controversial) artist. You are lucky indeed. I have the full version of "The Tree of Life" over my love seat in the living room.

It's a beautiful scarf, the full-length version. Yes, I was very, very blessed to have him in my life.

You just gave me a huge lump in my throat. (((dooBdoo))) {#emotions_dlg.wub}

Thanks for the hugs, Ford. I was lucky.

I had two husbands and did not have good luck with either of them. I had one ten-year relationship starting at age 42 (he was ten years younger). Age didn't make a difference then, but it did ten years later when I went into menopause. He couldn't handle it and I had to let him go. I broke his heart and I hate that. That's when I decided no more men.

I'm sorry things couldn't have been better for you, Ford. You deserved far better. My first marriage was brief, we were college sweethearts and eventually realized we needed to part ways, very amicably -- and to this day we're close friends. And the second marriage was such a gift, even with the typical, human, ups and downs. I truly am grateful. I remember what you've written on these forums over time, and wish the relationships could have been different. I hope this year will be a happy, healthy, joyful one for you. This thread is a testament to everyone's fondness for you.{#emotions_dlg.wub}

I've had two kyphoplastys and find them to be useless. They heal just as slowly as they do naturally, so I will not be having any more. I always have back pain and while I hate it and wish I didn't have it, it does wax and wane sometimes. I also have a bad stomach now because of the change in my spine which pushes my stomach upward and outward. Not good for digestion at all. One thing leads to another. the spine supports the entire body of course, so it affects everything.

I'm glad your husband did well. Men usually do.

I don't remember that photo. I think the only other ones I've posted are when my sister and I were very young.

Yes it is and I'm very grateful for the responses, all of them.

We are lousy pickers when it comes to men . . . all of my daughters are divorced too because of their choices. Some of them were long, but fraught with negativity (and in one case, pure evil) and not worth carrying on. We, as a group of women now are very close and supportive of each other to the hilt (with the exception of my oldest daughter, which I have discussed before).

DooBdoo, do you have children? I have forgotten.

Surprise indeed! A nice surprise to wake up to this morning, Ford. Still morning here for me.

Although I can't say I'm totally surprised because I've seen your photos before and knew you were blessed in the looks department. Tall with a graceful neck and great cheekbones definitely gives you the advantage of holding onto your looks in the aging process; and can leave me feeling envious of that. Wink

But what is surprising in a very good way is that with all your posts about your poor health and other issues, you do seem radiate health, happiness and well being. And good for you too, Ford. You deserve it.

I'm glad you had such a nice day with your girls. As cozy and comfy as that sweater looks, I bet the peace and quiet coming from next door must be the greatest gift of all. Kiss

I am always being told "you don't look sick," so I am used to that. What I have is visible though, with no clothes on. And pain doesn't necessarily show up in one's face, although sometimes I look in the mirror and gasp. Every once in a while I have a "good" day, and last Saturday was one of them . . . what you are seeing is pure happiness that I could attend our party that day.

And yes, today is the sixth day of silence, so they must have come down on her hard. It is a great relief, to be sure!

Thanks, MrsSweetieBear. Smile

Just saw this, Ford. So nice to be able to put your name with a face..... and such a pretty face it is! Isn't it funny...I feel like I know you a little better now. I love your hair....I think it compliments your skin so well.
