Ford you are a very pretty lady. You look nothing like I had you pictured in my mind. Girl you get that guitar out and we are heading to Nashville so you can meet Emmy Lou. Your also a kind and knowledge able lady on here. Happy Birthday and wishes for many more birthdays for you to enjoy. You could still model.

Cater, that's kinda part of the reason I wanted to post this photo, as I'm sure many thought I was a bent over little old lady in a wheelchair because of my health issues and my age. Even though I do have to use a wheelchair at times when I've broken another vertebrae, I did want to counter that image someday and so I posted this photo, knowing it would not go over well with everyone. Thanks for your kind words. Smile

Stunning. Amazing. Beautiful.

"bent over little old lady" is exactly what I had imagined which goes to prove how very wrong assumptions can be -- and often are. Thank you for sharing yourself as you are.

Happy 77th birthday and may you have many many more.

See? I'm glad I posted it now . . . I knew what many thought because of my health issues. People who see me always say, "you don't look sick," but there was no way I could show that here without a photo.

BTW, I love your quote. Loved that man. So brilliant!

Cool

Thanks JSS. I read both of these and the first one made me sad, she has gone through so much, but so brave. The second one was hilarious, especially about the glasses!!

Exactly ! I have shared photos with probably twenty posters and every time I see their name, I "see" them. Great fun.

Ford, I am so very happy to see how this thread has progressed.

You deserve every single kind word. Smile

Ford, I love your hair. I have long hair too at age 63. It's healthy and in very good condition and I get compliments all the time as I bet you do too. I'm still a brunette with only a little gray. I say if you have hair that is in good shape, wear it long if you like it. You have given me permission to keep wearing mine long through my 70's!

btw, You do look fabulous!

Good! A lot of the old fashioned cliches no longer matter. We should all do whatever makes us feel good about ourselves, and most of us agree with that.

Ford, your hair looks platinum blonde...reminiscent of Kim Novak's in "Vertigo." It has that beautiful color that very few are blessed to have when they go grey. smiles...I am on my iPad and the emoticons don't work.

JMO, but I think that most smile lines and laugh lines are keepers, as they show that a person is fortunate to have experienced great humor and pleasure in their life (including multiple O's, heh), and that they're blessed to have made it to whatever age they are.

How do you two ladies keep your hair in good condition? I'm in between your ages and have hair the color of Ford's. I'm trying to let it grow longer but my ends keep getting "whispy".

What are your secrets?

I inherited good thick hair from both parents. It is wavy. I wash my hair twice a week and put on Organix argon oil as a leave in. Sleep on it wet and blow dry just a little in the mornings and roll with electric rollers. I need a hair cut to get off the split ends-it's been a year since I had a cut and it just grows like crazy.
