Well, I just finished reading this wonderful, upbeat thread.

Ford, you are a beautiful lady, inside and out and you know how I feel about you. You look absolutely beautiful in that picture and you are rockin' it in that outfit. I absolutely love your beaming smile and your hair is beautiful.

I can't add any other words but to say that you are beautiful. Glad to hear you had a wonderful time with the birthday celebration. It was overdue.

Yes, I love it too. To me, it represents my ten-year boyfriend and me. He was a tall, masculine man with pitch black hair just like the man in the painting. And my hair was kinda reddish in those days because we used to sit by his pool on Saturdays and the sun bleached it out because I was still dying it then. I have to say those were the happiest years of my life because my girls were all in their teens and I had more time. He became like a member of the family (we never lived together nor talked of marriage . . . neither of us wanted that). I had to let him go, but am reminded of him every time I look at that painting. That was us.

On a different subject, I am in my 40's and occasionally worry about aging..

I refuse botox so I use frownies, lotions, potions, and some things I would never post (LOL)..

Then I see women like you (and my 96 yr old neighbor is AMAZING) and think..

Just breath, there is TRUE BEAUTY at ALL ages! INSIDE and OUT!

ETA- I have NEVER been married, no kids.. It's nice to have memories of great BF's in the past but I also know I made the right choices for myself .

Ford you are a very pretty lady. You look nothing like I had you pictured in my mind. Girl you get that guitar out and we are heading to Nashville so you can meet Emmy Lou. Your also a kind and knowledge able lady on here. Happy Birthday and wishes for many more birthdays for you to enjoy. You could still model.

Cater, that's kinda part of the reason I wanted to post this photo, as I'm sure many thought I was a bent over little old lady in a wheelchair because of my health issues and my age. Even though I do have to use a wheelchair at times when I've broken another vertebrae, I did want to counter that image someday and so I posted this photo, knowing it would not go over well with everyone. Thanks for your kind words. Smile

Stunning. Amazing. Beautiful.

"bent over little old lady" is exactly what I had imagined which goes to prove how very wrong assumptions can be -- and often are. Thank you for sharing yourself as you are.

Happy 77th birthday and may you have many many more.

See? I'm glad I posted it now . . . I knew what many thought because of my health issues. People who see me always say, "you don't look sick," but there was no way I could show that here without a photo.

BTW, I love your quote. Loved that man. So brilliant!
