Superman

My son is watching a DVD of super heros. It is a frequent request of him when he is over and doesn't like what is available to him. As I was putting it in, I was sharing that superman (one of the heros) was my favorite tv show when I was a child.

When I sat back to see if the video was starting there was such a shocked look on his face. He asked me how old I was and I told him I was 64. He said that he was sure that superman was not that old and he wondered if I was just making it up so that I could pretend we had something we both liked.

I laughed and said I certainly was not making it up and that it was a tv show and was one of my favorite ones. And if I was naughty my mother made me go to bed early and I would miss it that week. As we watched his video he kept looking at me and he finally told he was going to ask his Mom if I ever told her that story. I guess he might grow up to be a detective. But he did make me laugh.
