I honestly can say that I've never heard anyone I know ever express how they hate summer! I've only heard it here. I can't imagine hating summer! I guess it's a regional response. I love the 4 distinct seasons that we have. But I'm a summer girl, always have been. In fact, I planned my wedding and the birth of my children in the summer. I am not a fan of Fall, too much work getting ready for our long, long, cold winters. Nope give me the long, hot, sunny days of summer. I live on a lake and we boat from sun up to sun down so summer is our time! Yippee! Heart

We, here in the desert, are supposed to be in low 80s this week-end.  June is normally our hottest month but I think one day at 93° has been as hot as we've gotten.  It has been very pleasant.

@ID2: Believe it or not..there are people who prefer spring, fall or winter over summer. As I said in an earlier post, I do like summer, for sure. But around mid-late August, my love for summer starts to fade and I start dreaming about my favorite season which is fall.

Re: Summer Solstice

I guess we are fortunate where I live...Seattle area..... four seasons.... and although it does get hot for a few days in the summer... the humidity is low. Very few bugs here as well. I will stay here!

Hobby Lobby has put fall decor out, right next to the 4th of July decor. So looking forward to fall...it was 98 yesterday. With humidity it felt like 108. And it’s only June. I opened my front door yesterday to check for a package and it was like opening the oven door to take out a cake. Cooled down to 90 at bedtime. Am so ready for the pumpkin patch!
