I am so glad she didn't get away with it. What a horrible thing to do to someone that is so lost and trusts you.

@MickD wrote:@Noel7 exactly and now they're both lumped under antisocial personality disorder in the dsm. I am just reading....no semantics @itiswhatitis...I haven't worked with any in years.
I have the DSM 5 also. They haven't solved that issue yet!
For awhile there, there was a push to totally get rid of the term "psychopath," which was bizarre... lumping gambling in the same category as serial killers 😧

There is talk that this will be overturned. That action only not words can be found guilty of manslaughter. Lawyers are saying that no matter how many times or how forceful she told him to do it, a healthy mind would have gotten angry by her words and said you're supposed to be a friend and you're telling me to kill myself. The suicidal episode would thus end but he was way too sick. I do agree she is a terrible human being. This isn't over.

When this girl was growing up didn't parents, family members, teachers & friends see something isn't right. Just sad for both families to have to go threw this. I hope they don't make a movie about this.

@truffle it may have to go through an Appeals process. The ACLU is involved.

This will probably be overturned but the conviction should send a message to those who for whatever reason think sending multiple texts encouraging someone to commit a crime is not a liable issue should think again. We know she knew it was wrong because she tried to cover her tracks. I think I heard his family is suing her family for civil violations as well.
