I have 2 cats (male and female/neutered and spayed) that are littermates. I brought them home when they were about 3 months old. They will be 6 in July.
Yesterday/last night, I noticed the female was having some issues with one of her eyes. I took a close look last night, and one of her pupils was not dilating. I spent a couple of hours with her in the Animal ER last night. She came home with eye ointment, and it has helped, her pupil is dilating again.
This morning, I got up to feed both cats. The male would not come when called and would not touch even his favorite treats. He was hissing and growling at his sister and stiff as a board, shaking like a leaf nervous even when I picked him up. So he and I were at the Animal ER today. They did not find anything wrong with him, but he did get an enema (which we dealt with earlier). I then went out for a couple of hours and came home to find him layng on my bed which I was happy to see. I thought it was a sign things were getting back to normal. Suddenly he started hissing - his sister had jumped up on the bed. He hissed at her again and then jumped off the bed and is hiding again. He has not eaten, nor has he had his heart meds today either.
WHAT is going on here? I am so disterssed over this!
