Stupid Stupid Stupid rant...ShopNBC

This is the dumbest thing I have ever come across in a long time.

To start out with, one of my credit cards was compromised..we were away on a weekend, and some person/server in a restaurant took my information and used it to charge a whole bunch of stuff. It has been resolved with my bank, etc.........but I digress...

I use this card for both QVC and ShopNBC, and I had a couple of "value pays" things going on here and there....I was able to change the QVC orders online...without any problem!!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}......and I went in and did the same thing at ShopN....and it took. Or so I thought.

I went today to make a purchase and find I cannot place an order. {#emotions_dlg.confused1} I tried several times, giving them the benefit of the doubt that there was a glitch. I called their C/S department. After being on hold for 20 minutes, I told the girl about my problem, and she said, oh you have to talk to the credit department.{#emotions_dlg.confused1} So again, I am switched, and I am on hold for another 15 minutes, and a woman with a thick accent...tells me that I can't order because my credit card was declined. Well I straightened her out...and she then said, well we called you. Uhhhh....no, you didn't. And why didn't your computer system take my new information and keep it back on the 4th when I changed everything to reflect the new card?

::insert crickets here::

"Well. it doesn't matter, because the cc was declined anyway". Uhhh yes it does matter when I went in and changed it myself.

Long story short....they now have my new cc information.....but it is going to take 48 HOURS to process and change my account over to the new cc.{#emotions_dlg.w00t} When I changed the information here at QVC, it was instant......no problems whatsoever with any order or payments.

Are they using abacuses there? Keypunch cards? Carrier pigeons?

Thanks for letting me vent.

I guess QVC is not as bad as we thought.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
