I've noticed a difference in surviving spouses in regard to death. Some women I know kept their husband's clothes, tools, personal items for decades after death. Some men I know got rid of everything including clothing, decor, personal effects within 6 months. Some was given to family, some trashed, some donated. Didn't matter id death was sudden or not.
I've been getting rid of a lot for that reason, to make things easier for my family. After all, shrouds don't have pockets.
Have you noticed differences? is it gender based, generational?
