That's a good question, @esmerelda. From what I gleaned from googling, it is quite rare. I found a list of them on the Fox News site. Of the ones listed, some were shootings of one person.

The song is about Brenda Spencer who was convicted of a shooting at an elementary school in San Diego. It happened in the 70s I think.
